Quite interesting is the paradox which claims that both the Textbook -- Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures -- and the Church Manual were God-directed for Mrs. Eddy to write, but that the Textbook must be read letter by letter and word for word, while the estoppel clauses in the Manual can be innocently ignored.
