Dickey, Archibald McLellan, and Josiah E Fernald) during the Next Friend’s Suit to
prevent the “next friends" from getting control of her property, which according
to the Concord (N.H.) Evening Monitor of October 15, 1911, was valued at more than
$2,000,000, 1910 dollars.
A Next Friend (“prochein ami”) is a person
who appears in a lawsuit to act as a Plaintiff for the benefit of an individual who
cannot act for himself.
In this instant lawsuit, Mr. Robinson is acting as
a Plaintiff for himself, and as a “Next Friend Plaintiff" for Mary Baker G.
Eddy, deceased.
