Exhibit UUUU
The Final, "Manual Of The Mother Church,
The First Church of Christ, Scientist, In Boston, Massachusetts,
By Mary Baker Eddy,
Eighty-eighth Edition, 1910"

The final, "Manual of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, In Boston, Massachusetts, by Mary Baker Eddy, Eighty-eighth Edition, 1910" has been "out of print" and not available for many years.

This last Church Manual issued by Mary Baker Eddy was announced, in the customary fashion, in the September 3, 1910, Christian Science Sentinel. It contained the addition of what now appears as the first paragraph of Article VIII, Section 22, "Practitioners and Patients." The Sentinel ALWAYS and without fail, invariably included a box which carried the same sentence, as follows:

"Each new edition of the Church Manual containing the By-Laws of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, will have special notice in the SENTINEL."

The September 3, 1910 issue of the Sentinel was the last issue to announce a new edition of the Church Manual. The new by-law and 88th Manual were also announced in the October 1910 issue of the Christian Science Journal.

After Mrs. Eddy's passing in December of 1910, a new Church Manual called the 89th edition was quietly introduced into the Reading Rooms in January, 1911. This new 89th edition was never announced, as was specified every week in the Sentinel.

This new Manual removed Mrs. Eddy’s name and office of Pastor Emeritus from page 21. It also added the words “and Branch Churches” to the titles of pages 120 and 127, and the footnote regarding collections which appears on page 127.

Interestingly, the sentence in the Sentinel promising to announce each new edition of the Manual continued to appear until the January 14, 1911 issue, but no formal announcement of the 89th edition ever appeared.

Copies of this authentic, 1910 edition of the 88th Manual of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, is now being made available at the address below.
